UConn Dominates Duke, 74-48

The Nutshell by Orin DayDuke absorbed its first loss of the 2007-08 season, falling to #2 UConn in the Championship Game of the Paradise Jam tournament. Chante Black led Duke with 16 and made the All-Tournament Team, but no other Blue Devil managed more than 6 points. Abby Waner returned to the starting lineup but was scoreless, 0-7 from the field.
On the other side of the ball, four of the Huskies scored in double figures, led by Tina Charles with 13 points and freshman sensation Maya Moore with 12.
The team returns to North Carolina tomorrow but won't be around for long, as they'll leave campus Tuesday evening for a Wednesday date with the nationally ranked Vanderbilt Commodores in Nashville.
