adjust to Shegog (and later Rolle's size), but still scored 7 points
as she got to the line for 4 attempts, scored on a stickback and
finished on a cut. She also had assists to Selby for three on two
occasions in the first half, and found Jackson & Peters for jumpers in
the second half. She also posted up more successfully in the half,
scoring 6 points. She was frightening defensively, authoritatively
blocking 6 shots (keeping most of them in play!) en route to breaking the
ACC rookie season blocked shot record. She was held
back a bit by foul trouble and plagued by turnovers as she let go of
the ball when she got some passes she wasn't quite ready for. Still,
this was a solid showing for a frosh in the big rivalry game. |

open shots that she usually hits. The second half was another story,
as she quickly scored in transition, drained a three, scored on a
post-up and a cut, and found Liston in transition. This was a quiet
performance for her even as others stepped up, but it was good to
see her bounce back in the second
half.

Her willingness to get physical came in handy against the Heels. She
finished in transition early in the game and later hit a 10' jumper
and sank a three. In the second half, she scored in transition,
drained a double-clutch jumper and nailed a turnaround jumper from 17'
as the shot clock buzzer sounded. She was all over the Heels on
defense, grabbing 3 steals and bodying them up. She perhaps could
have blocked out a bit more often (just 4 rebounds), but she was a
force for the Devils in this game. |

shouldn't be a surprise given that she's frequently come up big
against the Heels. She opened Duke's scoring with a corner three,
found Jackson in transition and later hit another three on a pass from
Williams. She finished the half with a beautiful runner in the lane,
right after she zipped a pass to Liston for three. In the second
half, she kept the pressure on UNC by sinking another runner (she did
well to avoid charging) and later found Vernerey
for a score. Other than one bad pass, she did a fine job of
controlling tempo and finding her teammates. Selby was a game-long
pest for UNC's offense, using her quickness to get in passing lanes
and force bad shots, as well as taking a charge. |

She got
Liston going with a great pass for Tricia's first trey of the game,
and later dished it to Liston after Chelsea came up with a brilliant
steal. Chelsea also picked her spots on offense, pulling up for an
early jumper and sticking it, getting a stickback, pulling up for a
three and then hitting an insanely long three in the first half. That
shot deflated the Heels, as there was nothing they could do to stop
it. She missed her threes in the second half, but she did score in
transition and hit her trademark bank shot after blowing by a
defender. She was content to set up Peters, Vernerey, Williams and
Jackson in the second half as she kept her turnovers to just 2. This
was just a masterful performance. |

aggressive game. The Heels did not know how to handle her, leaving
her alone on the perimeter instead of playing her physically. She was
5-6 from the floor in the first half including a trio of treys. She also scored
two on a steal & layup and three on a pass from Gray plus drawing a foul.
Liston kept up Duke's passing exposition by finding
Gray for a very long three. She cooled off a bit in the second half,
scoring in transition and sinking a late three, as well as finding
Williams inside for a score. Tricia also got to play point guard for
an extended period of time and did a credible job as she brought up
the ball. Coach McCallie said she "was so ice in her veins. Just so
calm and cool and excited to move the ball." Given room to operate,
her floor game was quite savvy and her threeball was a deadly weapon
that the Heels did not defend well at all. |

Duke's game-breaking second half run. UNC's She'la White couldn't see
over her, and her length didn't allow UNC's guards to drive past her
from that spot. While she did have a couple of turnovers, Alli was
otherwise quite efficient. She had a big assist to Liston for a
three, blocked some huge shots and dug out a couple of steals, and
scored on a beautiful feed from Gray and on a pass from Selby. She
also took a huge charge. |

well in absorbing both the speed and physical nature of this game.
