MaChelle Joseph has always had that Midwestern reserve in the way she relates to the media. While not disingenuous, I always do get the sense that she has a particular line that she's trying to sell with regard to her team. That's partly because she's always been so good at anticipating the sort of questions she's going to receive, which in turn is a function of her relentless quest to make Georgia Tech a great program. I don't have to remind her that her program seems to have plateaued; she's well aware of her record and her team's limitations. That said, every year seems to come with promises of how things will be different this time around, and it just hasn't happened. This year, she was selling a completely healthy Alex Montgomery as one of the potentially dominant players in the league and improved scoring balance. She was especially high on her three Swedish players.
