UNC continued their upset roll through the ACC tournament by knocking off #2 seed Miami. Jessica Breland and continued her tournament resurgence by scoring in every way imaginable: post-ups, turn-around jumpers, pick-and-pops and free throws. Her combination of size and quickness was simply too much for Miami to handle. The Heels played great defense, holding Miami to just 31%, and had no problem dealing with Miami's pressure defense. Four different Heels scored in double figures as they took the game over midway through the first half, reducing Miami to jump shots from their two stars, Shenise Johnson & Riquna Williams. That duo combined for 40 points but only shot 14-44 from the field as the rest of the team combined for just 57 points. The Heels simply clicked in every aspect of their game, even as their long-range shots weren't landing. Their defense, rebounding, foul shooting and even shot selection were all top-notch. They're clearly ready for the rubber match against Duke tomorrow.
