Editor's Note - the following is an open letter from Debbie Leonard, former Duke Head Coach and co-chair of the DWHoops Pink Zone fundraiser. All pledges benefit the Kay Yow / WBCA Cancer Fund.

Dear Duke Women's Basketball Fans, It is an honor for me to serve as co-chair of the DWHoops effort to raise money for the Kay Yow Foundation. Kay was larger than life. What a competitor!!! And I don't mean just on the basketball court. Whether we were playing golf or coming up with trivia answers, she loved competition. She also loved her competitors ... and that's what made her stand out. She loved Duke --- even though she's giving me a jab from Heaven --- I'll tell you we were her second favorite team ! ;-) Please help me honor my friend and her ongoing competition against this horrible disease. I know how grateful Wuffie will be. Best, Debbie
